Knoxville Wedding Photographers
Daniel + Martha Howell. Who are we?

We're a husband and wife team who loves to photograph the emotions of weddings, make friends with our clients, and have fun working.

We could live at Starbucks, although Daniel prefers black coffee and Martha likes "girly" drinks like Frappuccinos. We both love listening to the musical genius that is Harry Connick Jr. Our favorite vacation spot is the Big Easy - every time we leave, we know what it means to miss New Orleans. We call Sweetwater home and are happy to be here; it reminds us of where we grew up. Our little family consists of us and two adorable dogs.

Enjoy our blog and checking out our newest work and learning about us in the meantime!

Sarah & Patrick's Wedding

****UPDATE*****
After I posted this yesterday, Sarah left one of the sweetest comments, which I've decided to feature at the beginning of the post. The image she is referring to as her favorite is the second from the end.

Her Comment:

"I don't know how you do it. I decided the shoe/hand on wrist picture was my favorite before I found out it was your favorite. You're worth double the price. Triple. I can't be any more grateful. To anyone considering Daniel Howell Photography: You can't see by looking at his portfolio how meaningful these pictures are. The shoe in my hand is my husband's shoe from his childhood that his mom just gave me after throwing it over my head (Irish tradition). My grandmother is giving me cherished words of wisdom that I will remember forever and her personality is summed up in the way she is holding me. And the focal point of the photo is the symbol of my newly blessed union.

There can't be another photographer out there that is intuitive enough to realize these moments are happening in the midst of the chaos that was my wedding. Just know that by contracting Daniel, you've secured not just a record of what you remember from that beautiful day, but a whole knew way to experience it. A way that has already brought my husband and I closer. And I'll bet that a couple of years from now, these photos can do that again and again, in a different way each time. I don't know how to thank you. God bless you, Daniel. "

Sarah and Patrick's wedding took place in September at the beautiful Catholic church in Nashville. Sarah, a talented vocalist herself, had some of the most wonderful music during her ceremony that we've ever heard. Especially touching was the emotional entrance of the bride set to live bagpiping.
The day was wonderful; take a look at some of our favorite images from the day.
Sarah wore this beautiful veil that belonged to her mother.
